About White Walls & Red Wings
The name of my publication refers to the Red Wings logo. The white walls is a reference to the auto industry and the popularity of white wall tires in the 1950s, when the Production Line led the best team in the NHL. The Red Wings part is self explanatory.
I’m a native Michigander who has followed the Red Wings for over 30 years and has decided to write about the Yzerplan as the franchise works its way from the worst record in team history to what we hope is eventually another Stanley Cup winning team.
While I am primarily supportive of the franchise, I don’t pull any punches and provide criticism when it’s warranted. Most of my articles are long form, so they provide a level of detail you are unlikely to find from beat reporters or on most social media websites.
